About

I am a young professional living on the outskirts of the City.  I am also an aspiring minimalist and looking to live on less and enjoy life more.  I try to live frugally (hence the name, Fru-girl), below my means, and stick to my budget.  I’ve been working full time for a little over 3 years now. I hope to achieve financial freedom and be able to spend more time doing the things I love.

When I’m not reading or writing, I can be found cooking up concoctions, watching re-runs of old tv shows, or out walking about the City.  I also enjoy dining out (maybe a little too much),traveling, people watching and getting lost in a good book.

I am obsessed a huge fan of personal finance and I love learning how I can make my money work for me.  This blog is my money journal of my thoughts and spending.  I hope share with you my experiences, my triumphs and tribulations.  And I also hope that we can have a positive community here where my readers can give suggestions and support to each other.

I am NOT a personal financial advisor or money manager.  Articles on this blog are entirely my opinion.  Please do NOT take any advice given here before conducting your own research and consulting a third party professional.

Cheers,

    Hi

    My name is Andrew and I found your website whilst doing some research. I hope you don’t mind my contacting you but I wondered if there are any advertising opportunities available in any of the following formats?

    * Widget placement – placement of a web widget tool.
    * Guest Article placement.
    * Text Link advert.

    Please drop me an email if this is something you can help me with, along with any pricing guidelines you may have.

    Thanks for your time.

    Kind Regards,
    Andrew

  4. Hi Miss Fru-Girl,
    Would you be willing to add me to your blogroll? I’d love to better connect with the other PF writers out there.

  6. Hello Frugirl.

    Just a head’s up that I included your blog in my list of the top Canadian personal finance blogs:
    http://www.modestmoney.com/canadian-personal-finance-blogs/

    With that post I am running a poll to see which blogs are everyone’s favourites. So I encourage you to head over and vote for your blog and any of your other favourites. I’m also giving a bonus vote for anyone who tweets that post.
